Whether you are experiencing panic attacks, a phobia, tics, obsessions or compulsions / rituals psychotherapy may be able to help. In fact, research has shown that cognitive-behavioral therapy can greatly reduce anxiety symptoms and improve your quality of life and functioning. Some of the anxiety disorders which I have had successful experiences treating include:
- Panic Disorder
- Agoraphobia
- Phobia (including social phobia)
- Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder
- Posttraumatic Stress Disorder
- Generalized Anxiety Disorder
My experience with treating anxiety includes psychotherapy with children as well as adults.
There are a number of problems that may contribute to anxiety. These include work related stresses, substance induced anxiety, and many other potential sources. Psychotherapy can help you to develop the coping skills needed to meet and overcome these challenges.
